The modders go crazy with Sonic Origins
One of the titles in the form of a collection that disappointed the most last month was Sonic Origins, which brings together four of the classic titles of the hedgehog but with a facelift that could be perceived as well cared for in theory. And now, after its failure, a group of modders has arranged to make some fixes, which may not continue.
The name of the project was neither more nor less than Better Origins, which sought to correct the errors that SEGA left in the final project, but this was canceled very shortly after starting. Affirming that after exploring the files, it is impossible to fix it, since the problems come from the code itself, even commenting that it is disgusting.
Here the comments:
We decided to stop the development of this project. After actually digging into the files for this game, it became much clearer that this title is absolute crap. We've fixed enough where the game is a bit more usable, but really, especially without scripts, there's not much we can 'fix' without just redoing sprites.
So far everything has been a complete flop for Sonic Origins, so at the end of the day who can fix everything is SEGA, but for now they are busy with the next game that will end the year. It is worth commenting that the new images are interesting, so the year for the blue character can still be saved with the main video game.
