Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Writer Share details on the DLC Wrath of the Druids

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC Review

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will go to Ireland in the next DLC Wrath of the Druids. The extension will continue the story of Eivor and extend the Nordic mythology found in the basic game, but it will also incorporate wealthy gaelic myths and folklore. Ireland's green shores are filled with mystery and danger, both supernaturals far too real. Seriously, there are a ton of nice things that could potentially surface in this DLC, from the centuries -old historic struggle between Ireland and England with frightening Irish fairies, so we are very happy that the associated narrative director of Ubisoft Bordeaux Hugo Sahuquet spoke with The Gamer of what we can expect to see in Wrath of the Druids.

First: Wrath of the Druids will see Eivor team with Barid Mac Imair, King of Dublin, a remarkably cosmopolitan city for the time. When the anger of the Druids begins, the Vikings have already given up conquering Ireland, but that does not mean that they have left the island. In fact, they started to take root.

_ "... The Vikings focused on business with the Irish and were quite commonly used by the Irish kings as war mercenaries", _ says Sahuquet. _ "In fact, it is recorded that Flann Sinna, the great king of Ireland and another main character in the expansion, had joined the Vikings in his war campaigns. This is the beginning of our history. »_

This is certainly an interesting starting point. Does the High King of Ireland recruit Eivor and his company to fight for him? It is interesting to imagine that the Vikings are associated with another culture instead of simply attacking and colonizing. But who knows, maybe they will bond while fighting the English.

Wrath of the Druids will be launched on April 29, 2021.
